Sabang Beach Hotels come in all shapes, sizes and prices. Whatever your budget may or may not be, you will find a hotel in Sabang just right for you.
Once you have made your mind up that Sabang is where you want to stay, your next choice is where should I stay.
Each Sabang Beach Hotel will be different and I guess I can use the term hotel fairly loosely. Why? Well mainly because you have such a huge range to choose from. You can stay in simple huts by the beach or on the side of the hill overlooking Sabang and the magnificent water. These huts are more suited if you are on a very limited budget and usually have very basic amenities.
From these huts I guess anything is better. There are numerous cottages and hotels which, can offer either full hotel service, to fully equipped kitchens. Just about all accommodation in Sabang Beach will have a fridge, either a mini-bar in hotel rooms to larger fridges in self contained apartments. Always remember to bargain with whomever is offering you the accommodation, you will be surprised with the outcome of your efforts!
Sabang Hillside
By far the best aspect of Sabang Beach Hotels is the fantastic views and the afternoon sunsets. Just for a minute let yourself wonder off to Sabang Beach and think of yourself on the veranda of your hotel room at dusk drinking a beverage of choice watching and collecting the last rays of the sun....Right snap out of it, the reality is far better than the dream.
The majority of hotels in Puerto Galera Sabang Beach are nestled into the side of the hill which overlooks the Verde Passage towards Batangas. The further up the hill you go the less noise you will get from Sabang at night. Sabang is the party area of Puerto Galera and as such can get a bit rowdy for some and exciting for others, choose your area wisely so you will not be disappointed. If you want to be close enough to the action but not necessarily to stay in it then the best hotel for you would be a twenty minute walk to the La Laguna Beach Club, here it is quiet and the beach is well it is a beach.
The benefit of staying in accommodation at Sabang Beach is everything is close at hand, restaurants, shops, Internet Cafes, money changers you name it, it is all here at your fingertips.
If you plan on staying for any length of time make sure you negotiate a cheaper rate. Long term rentals are like gold to a hotel manager, all your demands should be met. Don't be afraid to ask, if you don't ask you will never know. One thing to remember the Sabang area becomes totally booked out during the Christmas Holidays, Holy Week and most Public Holidays, it is really close from Manila so even weekends can get busy. Now if you want to come when it is cheap the best time is during the low season, which is May to November, during this period prices can be discounted by as much as 50%!
Sabang Hotel of Choice?
There are a lot of good Sabang Beach Hotels, all with pretty much the same facilities.
There is the Big Apple Dive Resort, which is in the heart of Sabang, also good is Atlantis Beach Resort, which you will find in the heart of Sabang as well, but for me my pick is the Mermaid Resort.
The Mermaid Resort is just on the right as you come into Sabang by jeepney, so it is out of the line of fire of the discos and restaurants, but close enough to get to and enjoy if you want.
