Grand Central Hotel Angeles City

by Paul Sheffield
(Currently Angeles City, Originally from Los Angeles California)

I used this website to learn more about the Philippines before I took my first trip out here.

I wanted to stay in Manila, Angeles, and Subic, and decided to book a room after I arrived for Angeles since there are so many options to choose from.

At first most of the hotels were full so I decided to travel by bus to Subic instead. Subic was not all that I expected. Although it was laid back, there was no action.

Next time I will make a reservation in advance and just head directly to Angeles City. After leaving Subic I came back to Angeles where I had made plans to stay at a new hotel called Grand Central Hotel on Fields Avenue, which I found on another travel forum. I did not know how many hotels on Fields Avenue there were, and there are not that many so I am lucky to have gotten in for this three and a half week stay I am on.

From the very beginning it has been first class treatment all the way at Grand Central. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed in my room is king size and very comfortable so I have been able to sleep well. The shower is hot and powerful, just the way I like.

The location of the hotel could not be better. Grand Central Hotel is on Fields Avenue, just a stones throw away from everything Angeles has to offer. I can walk everywhere, or if I need to take a trike its just a few pesos to the bus station or local shopping centre.

The staff is friendly, the food is high quality, and the rest of the hotel amenities are top notch. They have big lock boxes in each room that guests can use to place their valuable items in.

Management seems to be very focuses on guest satisfaction, because I cannot recall staying at a hotel where the manager personally talked to me about my trip and gave me good advice on how to blend in better with the local scene. Information I consider priceless!

If you are looking for a deluxe hotel in Angeles City I would definitely recommend Grand Central Hotel for anyone coming to Angeles or Clark for that matter. I absolutely love it here and do not want to leave to go back to Manila in two weeks.

Grand Central Hotel's website can be found through Google. I read that they were also listed on Trip Advisor as one of the best hotels in Angeles City so they are pretty easy to find.

Last tip: reserve a room with a balcony on Fields Avenue. You and your mates can sit outside and chat up all the people walking by! My camera broke so unfortunately no pictures this time :(
