Fresh Fruit Restrictions NAIA

Is overseas fresh fruit restricted at the Manila International Airport?

I am bringing some Australian fresh fruit as gift for family and friends which I have been doing ever since when I am having a holiday in the Philippines. Lately I've heard that fresh fruit is now restricted at the Manila International Airport.

Is there any truth in this?

Currently, there is no official announcement to that effect.

That is not to say it's not true, but we were unable to establish any procedure to that effect.

To double confirm, check with the airline you are traveling with, just to be on the safe side.....Brett
