As many of you know, we check on Mali and the other animals at the zoo regularly. We visited again this week and wanted to update you all on Mali's condition.
She is still exhibiting the same favoring behavior (shifting weight off certain legs) that she has been for over a year. Despite this clear and obvious sign of pain, the Manila Zoo has done nothing to properly treat the problem, refusing to even acknowledge Mali's potentially life-threatening feet problems.
Among many reasons, Mali needs to be transferred so she can finally receive the veterinary care she so badly needs and deserves. Thank you all for fighting for her freedom alongside us.
