Apocolypto, Polillio Island.

by Darryl
(Manila)

It's on the Pacific side of Polillio Island and only accessible by boat.

So far, not many people have surfed it. My friends and I from the Philippine Surfing Academy found it in March of 2009 and we were told by the locals that they have never seen people surfing there before.

It is a goofy footers paradise. We surfed it when it was a solid 8 foot (15 foot faces) at high tide and it was a good 200 metre ride.

I went back 3 weeks later and surfed it at low tide (around 3-4 foot) and it was even better. It had barrel sections and was breaking for about 100 metres.

Just down the beach, there was a host of other waves (mainly lefts).
