Zyrst Pension House Makati

We are a couple from CA, were in the Philippines for a few days. We ran across this quaint but rather comfortable and of course, cheap pension house in Makati.

Well, we chose the place because of its proximity to most of the establishments in the Makati area where we had to do business for the few days that we were there.

Rates are really low, starting at P795.00 a day, roughly 15 dollars (?). It has Wifi, a/con, all that sort of stuff.

The downside, is that there is no distinct signage outside the Pension house. The name of the place is ZYRST pension house and can be located at:

7521 Santillan St Makati

All the local cabs knows the address though. Security is okay as well.

I highly recommend midtown inn in Malate tapat lang nang robensons. Very cheap price. May free breakfast kapa. Super nice staff. Very clean rooms... Room service available. Malinis lahat. At sobrang lapit sa lahat.

First off, the pics they post with their ads, TOTALLY INACCURATE. The room I got didn't look ANYTHING like the ones in the ads.

It was run-down, there was no water in the bathroom sink's tap. There was only ONE working electrical socket, and that was the one above the bathroom sink. The matress was an old spring matress which was SO old and worn that you SANK into it PLUS it looked like it had a million fleas in between the sheets.

Second, HARD TO LOCATE. NUFF SAID.

When I got down from the cab for my late check in, I was greeted by a bunch of shady-looking guys having beers and cigarettes in what looked like a run-down garage.

I got the heck out after staying there for only 1.5 hours. They still charged me the full rate of 895php.

Even for a cheap place, IT'S A DUMP. STAY AWAY FROM IT.

With all these negative ratings, who would even think of going there? I heard of it as I intended to rent a room, but am i glad I found this website.

I discovered about the place through sulit.com. It was my first time and it was very cheap with their offered "discounted" rooms. When I got there, I was shocked, I was given a room different from what I had previously booked. It was so small and had a common comfort room, and all the amenities of their advertised room where not present in the room that they gave me.

I was able to talk to Miss Jazz about the predicament and things got heated up. First because she did not apologized for the false advertisement, which could have been a result of a hacked account, secondly, when I told her that it was false advertising, she answered even without thinking ?everybody is doing it?. Wow, the morals that woman has. Have mercy on the Philippines, do not support this corrupt business woman.

The room that they gave me was very small, about the size of a double bed, with a fan and TV.There was a window opening to the main hallway, it was so low that somebody can peak into it. So for 585 pesos, I didn't get any value from it.

Well, maybe these pips have not been there at all and just want to make nasty comments for who knows what and why.

But we've been there and yes, wifi is a little slow on some rooms but otherwise the place is ok and relatively comfy.

They need a cafeteria btw - Duerolitz

I don't recommend this place for travelers. So messy at di maayos kausap. To anyone interested, punatahan niyo ang lugar ng mapagod lang kayo.

Zyrst is a nice place to stay clean,affordable,accomodating staff and beautiful owner ms jazz,i stayed there not just once,twice but many times,if the place is not ok of course i will not coming back again but since its a perfect place for me i recommend zyrst to anybody, to zyrst goodluck n keep up the goodworks!

Don't stay in this pension house! walang generator so pag nagbrownout goodluck nalang sa inyo! try nyo humingi ng resibo bibigyan kayo ng resibo na galing Quiapo kasi wala clang permit to operate! no fire exit! d kayo safe dto! tapos may nawalan pa ng laptop d2! yung may-ari na matapobre kahit d naman halatang mayaman mukha nya kasi palengkera cya napaka insecure pa! rags to riches kasi kaya naninibago! JASMIN, hindi habambuhay yang pera mo! may araw ka rin!

The place was quiet but one thing bothers me..

Is it a pension house or a gay's den? hahaha I think 70% of the costumers there are gays.

They are not showy, but the fact that you know the gesture of a gay makes you uncomfortable. haha!

Well I've been in Zyrst Pension too just a while ago..and Miss Jazz was very kind and accomodating..and also to their desk attendant Gerald ..hes very nice and friendly.

My husband and I was been in Zyrst pension for how many times...

At first they are very accommodating, but the second time around they treat us badly...

While my husband and I was in a hotel somewhere in Pasay, we decided to transfer in Zyrst, but then we used to call and call them to asked if they still have available room, coz at 12nn we need to check out of that hotel, until they informed us very late that they dont have a vacant room...

And then lastly when we were there, they gave us the most awful room..Sink that is about to fall and with a mirror that you could only seen half of your face..

This pension is always putting us in compromised.
They dont even inform us early if they still a vacant room or not...You cant even rely on their contact numbers and if you can, they don't even send any replies...

Well I preferred AMAX IN MAKATI. Its 5 minutes walk from Zyrst...Even the rate is a bit high, but then you will find your self comfy there...

I called, texted and emailed Miss Jazz (the owner and the contact person for this pension house) because me and my boyfriend were planning to go to Manila on November 14-16, 2009. I asked her if there's an available room and then she was asking me terrible things like where was I located and she even accused me that I WAS THE MISTRESS OF HER HUSBAND!!!! oh my god!!! it was very rude of her.

We don't even know her and her husband personally and we just got her number here on the internet. She even kept on texting me that I was the mistress of her husband and that I should leave her alone. DUH!!! I was a possible customer, however we just canceled our plan to book in their pension since Miss Jazz was so RUDE!!!!! it's not the right way you should entertain your guests. you should not make accusations because you don't even know the person yet!

TO MISS JAZZ - You should be a professional!!!! You're such a rude lady!!!! PEOPLE SHOULD NOT COME IN YOUR PENSION BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS!!!!

I stayed at another pension house called Makati Apartelle. The rate is 900 pesos a day for a room with bath, kitchen and furnished with aircon, big cable tv, ref, telephone, wifi, etc.

Seemed more like a condominium unit than a room in a pension. Very clean, a lot of Asian art and decor scattered around the building. Sweet all-girl staff. I got them thru their website.

Me and My wife stayed there for 2 days the place is Ok.

The price is very affordable and to think its in the heart of Makati. I recommend the place for those taking the nclex. Cables blurry though, but the important thing is the place is clean.

Rate is affordable, but its not worth the price. Wifi, yes but in limited areas.

Aircon is not that cold unless its midnight.

Hope management improves the condition of each room.

But there are some hidden jewels like this one that need a bit of searching and you will not be disappointed.
