White Beach PG...affordable and intimate

With my girlfriend I left from Lipa City and traveled to Puerto Galera, White Beach over the Christmas holidays. By bus and ferry it was roughly a 2 to 3 hour trip thru the Batangas Pier. We had been to the Coco Beach Resort last year and found it charming, but somewhat expensive. The Coco beach was minimal and the coral, while beautiful, was sharp and dangerous.
White Beach resort area was smaller and much more intimate, but the beach itself, larger. Lodging was inexpensive and, to a certain extent, more dive oriented, than for a couple on a romantic getaway.

Our room at the White Beach Resort was spartan, but clean and the a/c worked well. We were right on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the good native seafood, mango shakes and the vendors from Mindinao hawking their wares.
At night it was quite the experience to see fire jugglers on the sand and the night-life in the beach-side bars. More than once I was caught staring at a beautiful "Filipina" waitress who, in reality, was no female at all.
White Beach was not crowded even in the week between Christmas and New Years. I was amazed at the cosmopolitan nature of the area...I heard different languages...Tagalog, Farsi, Dutch, French, English, Italian and others. I saw a mix of all kinds enjoying great Filipino hospitality.

Hi Mark,
White Beach is the pick of the beaches in Puerto Galera. It has the longest and biggest beach by far.
Accommodation is also very affordable and there is always something happening.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
