Transportation

Hi there

My friends and I will be travelling to the Philippines at the end of the year. We will be spending the new year in Boracay and plan to travel to Palawan straight after.

We were wondering whether there are ferries or private boats that travel from Boracay to Palawan or El Nido?

Could you also please give us an indication on how long the trip would take as well as the price so we can compare whether it would be easier and cheaper to fly instead.

Hoping to hear a response from you!

Well, it would be best to fly into Puerto Princessa, as I see that is the only passable way you could get to El Nido. I don’t know if the tourism or transport ministry has started any new ferry services like the once you were asking about.

Boracay to Palawan

Hi Raina,

I do not know of any ferries between Boracay and Puerto Princessa, which is the capital of Palawan.

El Nido is on the western side of Palawan and there are definitely no ferries from Boracay.

Your best option would be to head to either Manila or Cebu and fly to Puerto Princessa and then travel to El Nido.

If El Nido is your final destination of choice then you can fly direct from Manila.
