Philippine Dating
Finding the Filipina of Your Dreams

Philippine Dating

Finding your life soul mate is never an easy task. For a good proportion of us, we have struck out once and are extremely wary of strike two.

The fact that you are reading this most probably means that I am right.

The concept of the feminist and liberated women in the western world puts most of us at odds with our traditional upbringing. It is for this reason why we look towards South East Asia especially the Philippines for our second chance at Philippine dating.

The reason why the Philippines is such an ideal choice for a life partner could be the stories we hear about exotic and submissive Asian women.

Filipinas are known to be the embodiment of Asian beauty, who can disagree?. A former Spanish and American colony, many Filipinas extrude an aura that we find so alluring due to their mixed heritage. Being a former American colony, Filipinas speaks English which makes communication with them so much easier.

Let’s face it, how many of us are like the PM of Australia, Kevin Rudd, who can speak a second language?

Without a doubt, the ability to communicate with the lady of your dreams, during Philippine dating, is a crucial factor in the foundation of any relationship. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t be the only deciding factor. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have had any difficulties communicating with our English speaking Ex whom had dragged us to the family court!

During Philippine dating, the Filipina is everything that we think she is and more.

Exotic? …Yes, with those sparkling innocent looking eyes and their perpetual tan.

Submissive...well, there is a reason why the phrase “Hell knows no fury like a woman scorned!” exists in our vocabulary. If you ever watched Filipino tele-dramas on GMA Channel 7 in the Philippines then you will see exactly how vocally expressive a Filipina can be when they are provoked.

The fact is the stereotypical Filipina doesn’t really exist.

What makes them so different is the traditions and culture that surrounds them, this is what makes Philippine dating so desirable.

In short, they are Asian and for Asian women, the husband and the kids take precedence. Next will be the huge network of “lolo” and “lola” (Grandpa & Grandma) and the whole extended family.

For the uninitiated, all these can really be a little daunting. If you don’t have the slightest notion on Philippine dating, you are highly recommended to read Filipina 101 written by Perry Gamsby, a guy who has been there and done it.

The internet brings a whole new dimension to the Philippine dating scene. Although there are genuine Filipinas out there looking for a future life partner, there are always some rotten apples in the barrel.

Cam girls and Scammers, sad to say, are common from this poverty stricken society as well. To some Filipinas, if she is really a Filipina (the person on the other end of the monitor can easily be a guy masquerading as a girl), the “Kano” (The derivative of Americano) is open country safari game.

Yes, unfortunately that’s how some people here view foreigner’s.

If you are not careful, you could easily end up out of pocket as well as out of love. Well, nobody said finding love was easy but the plus side is that foreigners have better odds regardless of age, than the local Filipinos. Still this doesn’t mean that it’s a piece of cake to woo the girl of your dreams.

If you want a real shot at being able to woo that dream girl and avoid being scammed, do yourself a favor by reading Filipina 101.

To quote the author, ”This book is not the be all and end all on the subject of online introductions”, but it is based on real life experiences (both his and his wifes), from both sides of the coin.

Knowing what to expect is better than jumping on the first flight to the Philippines, chasing your dreams and ending up facing a nightmare!
