Overstay

by Taso Tsa
(Stuttgart, Germany)

I have heard different stories about overstay.

1. you pay 1040 Peso fine for overtay and leave the country.
2. you pay 1040 Peso fine for overtay up to 8 days and leave the country.
3. you pay 1040 Peso fine for overtay PLUS the 3000 Peso for 38 days exthension includes the express handling and leave the country.
4. tha same as 3 but you cant do it in the airport before you fly!!! You need to go to immigration.

Which one is true! those are all informations from officials, so I am very confused.

Now I know exactly how it works
by: Taso Tsa

if you overstay

1. you have to pay a fine for overstay

2. you have to purchase the sufficient visa

3. if you overstay very long you will need to pay all the fines that would have occurred during that period PLUS all the visas you normally would have needed to purchase!

thats how it is! I know because thats what happened to me.

It can even become really difficult if you overstay for a very long period. i meet a guy who overstayed for 11 years. than things get to another level.

for the official question at the authorities, how the comment suggests: the will answer you maybe in 7 week or so and ask for your exact birth date and than 5 week later ask you what you want again..... but who ever likes to do it like that can of course do it :-)

Philippine visa overstay
by: Brett

Hi Taso,

My suggestion to you is to email them directly and make your enquiry official.

Furthermore, you can detail the precise circumstances of the nature of your overstay to them, for example, the length of the overstaying period.

The link to the immigration website is:
