An Old Manila Video

I stumbled on this video of Old Manila or at least Manila pre World War II Manila.

It is a fascinating video showing life in old Manila where the kalesa out numbered the motor car and trams ran through the city.

There is footage of Roxas Boulevard, well I think it is, showing a very inviting Manila Bay, without the congestion of humanity. people are even seen swimming in Manila Bay, which has sandy beaches, you would not catch too many people swimming in Manila Bay today!

See if you can pick out the San Miguel billboard the pale pilsner, still a favourite today.

I enjoyed this peak back in time, it shows how important history is and what better way to understand than to visualise it.
