I cant decide the best way to do my 6 week trip to the Philippines.

(Canada)

Hi there, I am a 28 year old Canadian named Simon, I am coming to the Philippines. I will spend six weeks in the Philippines.

There are many things I want to do. This is my first trip ever. I'm having a difficult time figuring out the best way to plan this. It makes it tricky with all the different islands.

I will list off the things I want to do.

-I want to see the rice terraces in Banaue
-I also would like to see Mt. Pinatubo
-The Taal volcano is also on the list.

So these first 3, I think I should do first, as I land in Manila, and they are the closest.

-I also plan to climb Mt. Mayon. I am beginning to make arrangements with a guide for this climb.

I would like to go to Bohol, and see the chocolate hills, and the beaches of course.

I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I want to go to Boracay. It sounds amazing, I think I would be crazy not to go for a weekend.

I would also Like to go to Palawan.
Visiting Cebu would be nice too.

So I have lots of things I want to do, and that is not factoring in what I'll find once I actually get there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your Itinerary
by: Coney Ramirez

Hi,

In order for you to maximize your time in visiting Philippines, allow me to make your itinerary based on the initial places you would like to visit. From this we will know if you still have time to go to other places as well. Let me know your timeline and the arrangements you have already made (climbing mountain) so I will just plug-in that schedule.

Regards,
Coney

go swim with the Butandings of Oslob ;)
by: May Rimando

You must go to El Nido, Palawan. It's 5 hours away from Puerto Princessa City via van.

Try Cebu, explore not only the city but Oslob which is just 2 hours bus ride from Cebu City. In Oslob you could swim with the Butandings and visit Tumalog Falls.

Boracay is ok but too crowdy.

Relax...Don't Saturate
by: CtryLwyr

It sounds as if you have given quite a bit of thought to your itinerary; cramming in lots to get the most from your visit is understandable. I live in the US and have visited the Philippines over a dozen times in the last 4 years.

I think, based on my experiences, you will reach a saturation point quickly if you push too hard with a packed schedule. Ive experienced the "It's Tuesday; this must be Belgium" feeling and couldnt take in all the wonderful experiences offered. Relax...enjoy the culture and the people in addition to seeing the wonderful sights. It takes time to savor the many differences in food, ambiance, and culture from Cebu to Tagaytay to Davao. The best part of the Philippines is its wonderful people. My advice is, dont overlook the natives for the natural beauty.
