I ate balut!

I was curious but made the mistake of looking at the embryo and chickened out the first time; however, I was determined the next time:

First, drink the soup-tasted like good chicken noodle soup. Have your girlfriend peel and prepare the embryo, don't look at it. Plop it in and enjoy the taste of young chicken with a slight feathery, furry, crunch (beek and skeleton.)

I tried getting some last time I was in Philippines but waited too late into the night and it wasn't warm any more.

Will definitely do it again next year.
