Tipping in the Philippines
by: Brett

Hi Hamond,

As for your questions:

1. Normally, the hotels and restaurants have a service charge included into the bill and tipping is not required.

If you feel the service is outstanding and still wish to tip the bellboy or waiter in the restaurants, the amount is entirely up to you.

2. Most taxis run with a metered fare and hence tipping is not required.

Regards
Brett
