The Holiday Inn Galleria Manila, stands tall in the bustling commercial and leisure area of the Ortigas Center in Pasig City. The hotel is located 15 kilometers from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

It is conveniently connected to Robinson’s Galleria Mall, one of Manila's most modern shopping complexes in the Philippines with its movies, every kind of restaurant you can imagine, great shopping, gym, billiards, bowling center and amusement area for kids. So there is no problem if you do not want to spend all your money in the Holiday Inn Galleria, you can spend it in the Robinson’s Galleria Mall instead!

Holiday Inn Galleria’s 284 guest rooms include tastefully appointed Studio, Executive, and Penthouse Suites.

The pride of the hotel is the penthouse suite which is on two levels and a bit out of most peoples budgets, mine included. The main level has two bedrooms, two full baths, living room, dining room (8 place settings), and a large bar area with mini refrigerator. There’s a spiral staircase, which leads to the marble tiled upper level which contains a bathroom, table and chairs and a huge hot tub on a built-up platform surrounded by windows with a great view of the city.

Not to be outdone, but the master bedroom has a very spacious dressing area with more closet and dresser space than most hotels. There is also another bath with separate shower and Jacuzzi. You could really throw a great party in this penthouse suite, which I'm sure there have been, it is more like a home than a hotel.

What can I expect at the Holiday Inn Galleria?

All rooms in the Holiday Inn Galleria have big windows all around, for a fantastic view of the city and the view at night is spectacular.

Standard dining and recreation facilities in the hotel include two dining outlets, a gym, outdoor pool with recreation deck, spa with sauna, beauty salon for men and women.

The hotel hosts the Red Corner Fitness and Boxing Club, which provides full-service gym equipment, punching bag and Muay Thai as well as aerobics classes on certain days of the week. It also hosts the Suriya Spa which provides full service massages. It is located at the 5th floor of the hotel.

The outdoor pool with recreation deck is an ideal place to catch some sun or lounge around on the weekends.

The food selection in the breakfast buffet offered by the hotel is quite good and has fairly diverse variety. I was impressed by the service at the breakfast buffet it was exceptional.

With 140 parking slots, there are definitely enough parking spaces available. Parking and valet service are provided free of charge for in-house guests and restaurant diners of the hotel.

Security-wise, the hotel along with the mall has enough security personnel scattered around the vicinity, that you will see a detail at every corner, this is typical in the Philippines particularly Manila, don't be put off by it.

Is the Holiday Inn Galleria worth the money?

You will enjoy your stay here because the staff are very professional and friendly, especially, the bellboys who are also very helpful. The hotel staff also speak different languages such as Chinese, English, French, and Tagalog.

The renovation they have completed, moving the front desk from the quaint 4th floor to the aptly appropriate ground floor, has improved the accessibility of the hotel from the outside.

The Holiday Inn Galleria Manila is recommended for those who can afford a little more, but not too extravagant.
