Food in the philippines

by Ross
(Scotland)

Hi

I have a minor allergic reaction to sesame seeds (more unpleasant than life threatening thank goodness) and was wondering if sesame oil is commonly used for cooking purposes in the Philippines or sesame seeds included in many dishes?

Thanks

Sesame oil in Filipino cooking
by: Brett

Hi,

The filipinos rarely use sesame oil for cooking. Sesame oil is usually used by the Chinese for flavoring.

Kind Regards
Brett
