There are a couple of Catarman's. One is the Capital of Northern Samar and the other is on the island of Camiguin. I'm assuming, I know I shouldn't but I will, that since you are coming from Ozamis then your heading for Camiguin.
I'm unaware of any ferry services from Ozamis, you will need to get your family to Cagayan de Oro, where there are daily ferry trips to Benoni (Camiguin). This ferry service is by Paras Sea Cat and leaves CDO at 8:30am daily.
