1. Portofino Beach Resort

Portofino Beach Resort is a Mediterranean styled first class resort which is nestled on Small La Laguna Beach. It is beachside and stretches up into the hill overlooking the Verde Passage. The sunsets are breathtaking.

It is situated walking distance to Sabang and Big La Laguna Beach and has all the facilities and activities you need within walking distance, scuba diving, snorkelling, gymnasium, kayaking and wind surfing.

Portofino is also one of the few resorts in Puerto Galera to have a swimming pool. I can also recommend the restaurant that has delicious, first class meals.

2. La Laguna Beach Club & Dive Resort

The La Laguna Beach Club & Dive Resort is on beautiful Big La Laguna Beach, which is about a twenty minute walk from Sabang.

This resort is very much family orientated and has a stunning outlook right on the beach. At high tide the water comes right up to the front steps, you cannot get any closer to the water, truly stunning.

The resort also has it’s own swimming pool where you can learn to dive with one of the resorts Scuba Diving instructors.

The La Laguna Beach Club & Dive Resort can arrange for picnics, beach tours, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling you name it they will organise it for you.

What I like the most is that nothing is too much trouble.

It has it’s own restaurant and upstairs overlooking the Verde Passage is Geckos. Geckos is a bar with a view to die for, sipping away on an icy cold San Miguel beer or other favourite drink, you can easily get lost staring out into the magnificent view.
